GLA0822 Large Ground Stone Jade Adze
Great opportunity here as these do not come available often for sale!
Very nice large complete 9 1/4″ long, 7/8″ thick, highly polished green jadeite hard stone Adze.
This large G-9 Museum grade example was found in the early 1960’s. These tools were very valuable to First Nations in the Pacific Northwest where the cedar tree was abundant and processed for housing, transportation, tools and an abundance of other things.
The Adze used as and axe ,chisel and gouge when preforming this prehistoric wood working. 2″ wide at the bit with some chips and normal use wear and polish. Good site specific history to buyer.
