1840’s to 1850’s Very colorful plains Indian .70 cal smooth bore rifle with a 26″ long barrel, has a V and P , and eagle head, possibly an old U.S barrel and grey exterior medal. Back action lock, marked Tryon. This appears to be a trade gun transformed into a saddle gun. Plain brass long trigger guard. Has old style brass head tacks look like they been on gun a long time. Old wooden ram-rod; overall a great western era plains saddle gun. Ex-PF Collection
